چکیده

In a highly innovative market, wireless systems nowadays undergo very short production cycles. Due to these tough timing constraints, the time-consuming process of prototyping is often neglected, jeopardizing the entire product becoming successful. Heavy application of automatic tools can allow for rapid prototyping overcoming this unfortunate situation and de-risking the product challenge. However, the application of automatic tools alone does not speed up the prototyping process su3ciently. By re4ecting on current design processes, several paradigms for faster prototyping are concluded, named the Five-Ones Approach: One team, One environment, One code, One documentation and One code revision tool. Based on such a Five-Ones Approach, a consistent prototyping environment to implement a prototyping design from $rst idea to $nal implementation is presented in this paper. In particular, the design of a prototype for a MIMO system with four transmit and four receive antennas, based on the current UMTS FDD downlink standard is reported. ? 2003 Elsevier Science B.V. A Deterministic Multiple Key Space Scheme for Wireless Sensor Networks via Combinatorial Designs

The establishing of a pairwise key between two nodes for encryption in a wireless sensor network is a challenging issue. To do this, we propose a new deterministic key pre-distribution scheme which has modified the multiple key space scheme (MKSS). In the MKSS, the authors define two random parameters to make better resilience than existing schemes. Instead of a random selection of these parame...

Data Quality-Centric Model-Driven Development Process for Wireless Sensor Network Applications

Tuning data qualities is important to develop wireless sensor network applications because these applications focus on real world data. Consequently, the development process must simultaneously provide rapid prototyping to identify problematic data qualities precociously and allow for fine-grained tuning. Herein we propose a data quality-centric model-driven development (MDD) process that meets...

Rotor Sizing of Helicopters Using Statistical Approach

This paper is concerned with the statistical model development issues, necessary for rapid estimation of the rotor sizing for single main rotor helicopters at the preliminary design stage. However, Central Composite Design (CCD) method, simulation-based data collection, linear regression analysis, mathematical modelsdevelopmentand validations through the analysis of variance (ANOVA) were perfor...

Rapid Prototyping of Topology Control Algorithms by Graph Transformation

Topology control algorithms are used to improve the energy efficiency (or other quality parameters) of wireless sensor networks. In this paper, we report on the application of graph transformation in the domain of wireless sensor networks by proposing a model-driven rapid prototyping approach for the kTC topology control algorithm to enable the fast implementation and the evaluation of its diff...

Hybrid Key pre-distribution scheme for wireless sensor network based on combinatorial design

Key distribution is an important problem in wireless sensor networks where sensor nodesare randomly scattered in adversarial environments.Due to the random deployment of sensors, a list of keys must be pre-distributed to each sensor node before deployment. To establish a secure communication, two nodes must share common key from their key-rings. Otherwise, they can find a key- path in which ens...
